Experience:
Ms. Schenk-Hargrove has been a litigator at Smith & Duggan since 2000. Before coming to Smith & Duggan, Ms. Schenk-Hargrove served as law clerk to Justice John A. Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court. Her practice has focused on defending businesses and individuals in employment, contract, premises liability, Consumer Protection Act and business disputes. Ms. Schenk-Hargrove has litigated cases to trial at the state and federal District Courts, the Superior Court, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and has successfully defended appeals to the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
In addition to practicing litigation, Ms. Schenk-Hargrove advises small businesses and entrepreneurs on corporate, employment and intellectual property issues, and is active in the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association. She speaks German, and has a particular expertise in the issues that face working artists.
