Experience
Scott Smith is a civil trial attorney who tries cases in state and federal courts and administrative agencies, and represents clients in federal and state appellate courts. He has extensive experience in business litigation and in representing insured and self-insured businesses in litigation including products liability, premises liability, personal injury, property damage, insurance coverage, and complex workers compensation. Active in the Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute, he also has taught Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education programs and written bar review articles. He has served as a Supreme Judicial Court staff counsel, a Massachusetts Superior Court law clerk, Assistant Attorney General representing the Commonwealth in civil litigation, and a Boston University School of Law adjunct professor.
