Smith & Duggan represents cable operators and a regional cable trade association in a wide range of regulatory matters, including pole attachment disputes, competitive overbuilds, rate-setting, rulemakings, franchising, Dig-Safe and public access disputes. Our attorneys were among the first to counsel the cable industry on entry into competitive telecommunications markets prior to the enactment of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. We also advise cable clients on regulatory issues associated with the Internet and VOIP technology. We have represented telecommunications affiliates of cable operators in entry and tariffing matters, interconnection agreement negotiations and arbitration.
