We have significant experience with defending against allegations of defective design or defective manufacture involving various products including electrical equipment from generating stations, transformers, switchgear, panelboards, receptacles, and extension cords to motorized and pneumatic tools, as well as metal forming equipment, presses, industrial machinery and ovens, hand tools, home appliances, windows, carpet and fitness products.
Smith & Duggan is national counsel to General Electric Industrial Systems and Lighting Divisions (industrial, commercial and consumer products). Other long-time clients include Stanley Works (tools), Nortek, Inc., Broan-NuTone, Yuasa, Inc. (industrial batteries) and Cincinnati, Inc.
