Andrew Black and Pauline Jauquet Named Partners
Smith Duggan Buell & Rufo LLP has announced that Andrew D. Black and Pauline A. Jauquet have become partners of the firm.
Andrew Black represents companies and individuals in business disputes, product liability litigation and employment matters. He regularly defends manufacturers of industrial equipment and consumer products.
Andrew is also experienced at handling regulatory issues in the healthcare field as well as defending medical malpractice actions.
Prior to practicing law, Andrew was a consultant and project manager for a software company in the telecommunications industry for many years.
He holds two engineering degrees from Northwestern University. His J.D. degree is from the Northeastern University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Andrew joined Smith Duggan Buell & Rufo LLP in 2008.
Polly Jauquet has extensive experience in the litigation of claims before the Massachusetts Superior Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. Her practice concentrates on product liability, aviation law, premises liability, healthcare law, and the defense of workers’ compensation claims.
She has assisted in the representation of universities and museums in the successful recovery of artwork and artifacts. In major product liability cases, she has handled discovery and aided at trial in the defense of some of the world’s largest manufacturers and companies.
Polly graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater. Polly is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She joined the firm in 2009.
Their appointments became effective on January 1, 2020.
